A wet floor is a slip hazard. Textiles and other not-fit-for-purpose-products are trip hazards. Staff slipping or tripping during the procedure could lead to injury and sick leave and be potentially harmful also to the patient. From the perspective of both patients and staff, a safe and comfortable environment creates the best conditions for any surgical procedure within operating rooms.

Fluids play a significant role in contamination. Bacteria may grow in an operating room where fluids are present on the bed and floor. DryMax superabsorbent products absorb large amounts of fluids.
