Processing of personal data – customers and suppliers

Absorbest AB processes customers and suppliers’ personal data as diligently as possible.

All personal data are treated as private and are never disclosed to third parties unless a legitimate reason exists to do this. When you hand over your personal data to Absorbest, you can feel secure. The purpose of this Policy is to ensure that we process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Controller
Absorbest AB is the controller, i.e. the party responsible for processing your personal data.

What personal data do we process?
So that Absorbest can perform its agreements, accept orders, deliver products, place orders and handle invoicing, we process data such as the following:

  • Business name
  • Corporate ID number
  • Names of contact points and their respective positions
  • Telephone number
  • Address information
  • E-mail addresses

This information is stored for as long as you are a customer, supplier, partner or employee of ours, or until we are notified that that you are no longer employed by one of our customers or suppliers.

Otherwise, the data are stored for as long as we are required to retain them in accordance with the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.

How do we obtain access to the personal data?
We obtain access to your personal data in connection with customer or supplier registration, quotation, and the placement of orders. We only collect personal data that you yourself have opted to disclose to us when filling out forms, sending e-mails or the like.

You can use our website without providing any personal data, but for various reasons, certain data are stored on our servers. This may include the name of your Internet provider, the website you used to link to our website, or the websites you visit from our website, as well as your IP address. This information may be used occasionally for statistical purposes, but as an individual user, you are anonymous and are not identified. These data are not stored longer than necessary to fulfil their purpose.

Use of cookies
When you visit Absorbest’s website, a banner appears informing you that we use cookies and are linking you to that site. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive via your web browser. These cookies collect information such as your default language settings or page settings so that your web browser remembers them the next time you visit us.

We use two types of cookies: those used for technical reasons and optional cookies. Of course, you can use our website without cookies being activated, and you can restrict or deactivate cookies in your browser at any time. This may, however, affect your user experience.

When and how we share your personal data
Under certain circumstances, we may be obligated to disclose personal data in order to comply with requirements imposed by law or by governmental authorities. We may also need to disclose personal data to protect our legal interests or to detect and prevent fraud. This applies to both external personal data as a customer or supplier and internal data in the form of employee personal data.

Your right to erasure and rectification

Because we strive to have accurate information at all times, we correct, supplement, erase or de-identify personal data as necessary.

However, personal data that we need in order to carry out our agreements with you as a customer or supplier or to comply with legal requirements cannot be erased.
